has anyone used these....24-7 spares....they have quoted me 92quid for a starter motor delivered......and im desperate...scrounging lifts to work at moment ...supra is stuck in the drive lookin good but doin fek all!!!

I've used them in the past I think, but all the bits come from different scrap yards so it’s hard to say how good the service will be, plus it’s a used starter so you don’t know how much life it will have left. Have you got a price for a new one, and a price for reconditioning?

 

If you’re really, really desperate to get to work cant you hit the starter motor with a hammer/block of wood a few times to get you going? I know I had to do this on a carina e once whilst I was waiting for a new one, although I used to jump start it most of the time, great fun!

yep.. they are a part finding service.. the price will depend on the breaker they put you through to. I used them.... pretty good for service, dpeends how much you want to sear around - they will email and call you with prices of the parts you need.

Whats up with the old starter as usually its brushes which are about a tenner from toyota and are a piece of piss to fit

i put a used one in from these it has worked fine for over a year, but for the hastle it took to get it in (over 4 hours with an assortment of extension bars just to fit it) i wish i had put in a new one cos i am dreading doing it again should this one fail
