sinbad
Guys when I take my foot off the accelerator quickly (really noticeable at speeds below 30 mph) the revs are dropping to below the tickover level. Usually the revs quickly return to the correct level depending on speed/gear. Doesn’t seem to happen when the accelerator is slowly lifted off. Oh it’s a UK car Any ideas? Gaz Walker
Could be the BOV on your UK spec, I know I had a couple of probs with mine but that was normally when spinning on the ice last winter Gaz.
sinbad
I have an HKS SSQV fitted, haven't modified it at all. Might replace with original BOV and see what happens.

That would be the best thing to do initially, then let us know if it still happens after that... Gaz.
MONKEYmark
mine has stalled a couple of times under hard braking a while ago. not done it since. the revs on mine seem to idle at about 500-600 with 264 264 cams would a ecu reset have any effect? might be worth a try
GavinL
Originally posted by sinbad I have an HKS SSQV fitted, haven't modified it at all. Might replace with original BOV and see what happens. That will cure the problem. UK spec cars should have a recirulating BOV to work properly however most people get away with a vent to atmosphere BOV, only the odd auto owner get occasional stalling problems. To the best of my knowledge there is no fix for this but a search of http://www.supraforums.com may throw up something.
Sharpie
I'm thinking of running both bov's to remove any possible stall on my UK Auto when I get her back. The HKS one for the sound only, yes, I know it's a play thing but, the stock one for the correct function. (I intend to have the HKS unit on the IC pipe) Anyone see a problem with this ? Hmmm, I may be wrong but the BOV nearest the throttle body, I guess the HKS, one will vent first largely negating the recirculating effect of the stock BOV. Having said that it might be enough to swing the balance although the HKS BOV will probably be a bit quieter as a result.
Sharpie
Thanks Gavin, I was thinking along the same lines......... I'll try just the HKS one first, then if I get stall I'll run both and if this does not work out then just stick with the stock one. I have a spare HKS R-type pipe that connects to the Throttle body so, don't have a problem with the weld on part of the BOV. Cheers
pulse
Is this a UK auto, or auto in general issue with the BOVs? I've just boughta BOV for mine (HKS SSQV), which will arrive soonish, and I'm not looking forward to it causing problems...... Is it possible (or likely) to affect my jspec? Cheers -p
