richardharmon
I’ve had a search around but the answers to my questions are still a little still unclear. I have a j-spec TT and was wondering what the sensor attached to the first cat (the one that bolts straight to the turbos) is for. Is it a temperature sensor or an oxygen sensor? This brings me to my second question, what should I do with this sensor when replacing the first cat with a de-cat pipe. I get the impression (from search results) that it normally gets tied up out the way? Is this wise or should I mount it back inside the de-cat pipe. Thanks, Richard
Alex
Cat Temp Probe. No Cat no need for it - but cutting it off would probably result in a sensor fault. Tire it out of the way. The other probe in the downpipe is the O2 sensor (closer to the turbo's) This must stay in.
richardharmon
That confirms the general idea I was getting. Much apreciated.
