right, got a scenario for you expert players...

who came 2nd and 3rd?????

scenario 1.

player A has 70 chips

player B has 61 chips

player C has 19 chips

final round, we ALL went in.

now player A won beating both B and C.

however player C beat player B.

who came 2nd? should be player B right.

hope its player B cos that was me.

scenario 2. (for my future reference)

again all in but

Player A 70 chips

Player B 50 chips

Player C 30 chips

A wins, C beats B again.

who came 2nd and 3rd??

not sure wether C would get double chips ie: c-60 and B-20. so therefor C wins now.

think that makes clear sense

In tournament games there is no difference in places in the same round. ie if you both go out on the same hand you finish in the same position 3rd.

that is wrong, the person who had the mose chips at the time of the hand will finish higher!

When i played in a tournament the other week, it was down to the final table and in the money and there was one guy who had 50chips and another who had 500 chips and another who had alot more, the person who had loads bet say 1000 so bother the other guys called, both of them lost but the one with the more chips came higher in position meaning he won more money than the one with 50 chips, came 5th and 6th.

Would be better if we knew what the cards were but if you work it backwards C beat B which will cancel C out, then A beats B which means A=1st C=2nd and B=3rd

Again A C B, but i wouldn't bea able to begin to say who wins what as that always confusses me.

What site you on Ollie??

not on a site, was a game we played on new years day.

we didnt have winner takes all, split it £100 and £40 for runner up.

cards are not importants, as i say ...

A definatly won (lets say with pair K's)

B lost to C (pair 10's)

c got (pair Q's)

these were not actually the cards, am just making it clear.

reason is, im not sure about the chips. do the chips go to player C before A wins it.

hence scenario1 should be player B as either way he will win by 61chips - 19chips OR 42chips-38chips more than C

but scenario 2 would be 50-30 OR isit 20-60 win. geddit?

emin, im sure you're right, you 100% sure on both scenario?

anyone else can confirm that.
