mid oil change...just ready to fit my new filter and i think...hmmm something isnt right here....turned out the new filter that toyota sold me is different to the last one they sold me.

old- 90915-20003

new- 90915-tb001

question...is this new filter suitable for 94 UK TT Auto???

I had something like this on the last filter I got from Toyota Nothing seems amiss with mine. Can't remember the exact part number but I'm pretty sure it had odd letters in it.

Don't forget that the part numbers that are on our EPCs are snapshots in time. Car manufacturers can and do change part numbers from time to time. More than once I've ordered a part by one part number and got the same item but under a different one. These part number substitutions will be listed on subsequent updates to EPC, which the Toyota dealers will have acces to but we don't.

If you study your EPC carefuly, from time to time you will see the word "SUBS" under the part number, showing the new part number and the date of the revision.

If you are really in dbout, get them to double check it - or better still call a different Toyota dealer and get them to check it.

Cheers guy.The filters actually looked different, the thread seemed the same but the filter inside and the seat of the filter differed. i ended up cleaning out my old one and refitting that! gonna go and have a moan at mr T later on today.
