GetawayDriver
anyone know what this thing is? has a pipe coming out the bottom and one out the side. the pipe coming out the bottom on mine was split and was causing my second turbo to come in at about 6000rpm instead of 4500rpm. anyone know what it does exactly or more importantly, the part number of the little pipe coming out the bottom of it? cheers J
Soonto_HAS_soop
As you've got a UK 6spd, it is probably something to do with the EGR system. (Exhaust Gas Recirculation)
JohnA
yep, EGR just use a vacuum pipe of the same internal diameter from a motor factors, they are nothing special
uk-rich
i have a uk spec and i removed the whole system, blanking are available, the system is APITA anyway !
JohnA
I also have a UKSpec and temporarily disabled the system, monitoring a few parameters in the meantime. In the end I decided to keep the EGR in place, it will go only if I fit a standalone mgt system like AEM. Most stock ECU maps are build around the EGR unfortunately.
