supra-alex
depending how much you paid per litre, approximately 19mpg used tesco 99 ron first time today at 90p a litre... how did you get 19 ?
terribleturner
Well at 90p per Litre, with you spending £20 means you have 4.89 Gallons in the car. If we say that the £20 gets you 90 miles your doing about 18.4 mpg which is about right.
RedM
Try this formula Number of Miles / Number of Ltr x 4.546 = mpg found in this thread http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=44815&highlight=mpg HTH

Ewen
The slightly silly way....I used to put 45.46 Litres (10 Gals) in the tank each time I fueled up, zeroed the trip meter then ran the car till the fuel light came on, the resulting distance was then divided by ten to get MPG....theres a couple of very good reasons why this is a daft thing to do... The better way IMO is to fill the tank to the brim, zero the trip meter then run the car for about 200 miles or so (doesnt matter how many or how little as long as you dont run it till the light comes on !), then fill to the brim again...this time log the Litres needed to fill up and how far youve travelled and using the calc posted earlier, you have your MPG since you first filled up, and so on etc

terribleturner
£50 for 175 miles That will usually see my TT for between 250-270miles.
