Jake
'Traffic Sally' on Radio 2 said it was the longest queue she had ever had to report. Up to 30 miles in some places! I did think of you when she said the A(somethingorother) across the Devon Cornwall border.

Glad you are home in the warm now...feet up and nice cuppa hot chocolate aye mate! Si
michael
It's still boiling hot here, even though it's dark we are all still out sunbathing.
Jake
huh? Are you back on the crack again Michael? I went outside for a smoke just now and it's got to be well below freezing. Mind you, the local fuckwits are still setting of multi-bang rockets over their council estate a couple of miles away. I wonder how they afford fireworks every night from the start of Nov to New Years Day....

Fifty
I will not forget that commute in a hurry; what was annoying was the lack of info - for the first 3 hours or so there were no traffic reports; I only saw 1 police car as well! The area around the Jamaica Inn Bolventor was like a scene from a disaster movie; stranded lorries and cars all over the place. Its still very bad here today. BTW I wasnt in the Supra actually but I did see a spoilerless silver one heading towards the snow as I was approaching the area:D I was doing my bit lending ladies my mobile etc and one lass was having a very unplanned 21 st birthday!! Why dont we have a special FM frequency on air with infomation like they have in the US???? Ah well another funny experience to talk about:looney:
how_supra
On the news last night "we weren't prepared for the amount of snow" All week we have had warnings about this. How can they not have been prepared for it. Stupid if you ask me. A bit [okay a lot] of snow and the entire road network collapses. Again its not like we didn't know it was coming Welcome to the "I've been stranded on the motorway/road" club because of snow. At least you made it back okay. Nick
It snowed here too, couple of inches deep in the space of two hours. I was sat in a layby doing SMS roaming testing in Belgium in a bl*ody blizzard !! I love helping out other departments... Took a while to get back to the office, but not as long as fifty - christ... Then the fun began trying to get the Supra out of the car park. Snow mode has it's use... Typical Dutch, gritting the cycle paths but not the roads !!
