Pig
sorry guys, i have done my research but i really cant find whats wrong. I have a feeling its a leaking pipe, visual check shows all pipes still connected. Problem has only started happening since i changed my mechanical TTC back to sequential. Ok what happening is when im goining along at say 75 and floor it (auto) it changes down and the revs are at about 4-5 thousand. The boost gauge is showing about 0.2 bar for ages.... for the rest of the gear, and when it changes gear it goes straight to near on 1 bar. Thanks for your help. Pig
He he, yep. even got the computer out to double check! Always worth checking though, let be honest how many times have people said the microwave is broken then realised its unplugged lol! Oh heckler, how do you manage with TTC in the wet???? all i got was no power...no power then the wheels were spinning. Great fun in the dry though. My try it again when i have the RLTC connected! I just do - just used to it - and I have NO traction control i removed it It might be worth checking the pipes for cracks etc... if the pipes are old. Pig
Will do that, is it an idea to rev the engine in N and see if i can feel or hear any leaks? The ones on the top? Oh BTW forgot to mention that it boosts fine when normal only going wrong when it changes down. Are the pipes expensive to replace? And where would i get them>? The boost gauge is showing about 0.2 bar for ages.... ... my first instict would be to verify that the EBV is playing ball. I've experimented quite a bit with this (see my version of the EBV mod on supraforums) and this is what you get when the EBV isn't in the loop

heckler
Exhaust By Pass valve - controlled by the VSV at the front ( when you swop 2 of the pipes over for TTC) I think

Pig
I didnt mean that lol! im struggling to find the mod instructions. So the answer is to do this mod. That should tell me if it is the EBV thats gone. yep??? Read that it can be bad for the tubbies.... Should it be a temp mod? If it is that, is it easy enough to replace? Pig
Found this: http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/ebv/ebv.htm Is johnA suggesting i do this to see if the prob is related to this? Thanks
JohnA
no mate, I posted a modification on Supraforums (different yank site) relating to this, thinking that maybe you also visit there (apparently not, lol....) I've got the full story on my website as well, just follow the supra icon and read till you get a headache. At least you'll see how the sequential works, if you're into that sort of thing. Alternatively go to one of the experienced traders here and they'll check it for you, it's no great science if you've done it before. Avoid boosting over 4K until you've fixed it, or else you risk killing turbo #2.

Pig
Ok so i havent got every thing sorted yet. got the pipes on properly now. It turns out they were ok before i did the EBV. What i did wrong was put the pipes on wrong when changing back from ttc to seq. so, the answer at the moment is to try the EBV mod again tommorrow with the pipes on properly Oh a P.S the car is still having the prob
