You can listen all day to backpressure arguments if you like. There are theoretical disadvantages to doing it but you are talking VERY minor. So long as you dont go sticking a 3" exhaust on as well then it will be fine

 

In all honesty, I would just do the 2nd in terms of bang-4-buck

If you just do the 2nd cat will it still pass the mot or will you need to put cat back on?

 

I have an N/A with the rear car removed and it passed the MOT with no issues at all, the tester was not exactly the warm and fuzzy kind either :innocent:
