lust2luv
Peugeot 306 Rallye 1998 167HP 0-60: 7.8 0-100: 20.7 1/4: 16.3 @ 90 Toyota Supra SZR 1993 225HP 0-60: 6.6 0-100: 17.0 1/4: 14.9 @ 93 (last 2 stats are my figures for the Supe) The Supe wouldn't murder it, but the Pug would lose by around a second or more on the quarter mile, which is around 40m by my calculations. So not really that close. Supe should have advantage cornering too.
wonfa
we went to the pod ealier on the year and my mate ran his 106GTi it is completely standard and did a 1/4 in 15.2 which is pretty respectable for a little car it even beat a standard civc type r. the owner of that wasnt very impressed as it was completely stickered up advertising a tuning company:haha: around town i hate to say it the 106 would win as they stick to the road like glue and arnt no wear near as fat as the GTO

I've driven both
lust2luv
Maybe around a multistorey carpark, but not around a racetrack or winding country roads. You obviously have pushed your Supe. I see your weight advantage (although a HP per tonne disadvantage), and raise you double wishbone suspension front and rear, near 50:50 weight distribution, RWD, wider track and much wider tyres. No contest.
SkyJawa
Racetrack - perhaps not, depends on the track though, somewhere like the place 5th gear use there would be nothing in it. Not enough time between corners to build up much of a speed advantage, and trust me, you can't half get a 306 around bends I honestly think you'd be surprised mate Winding/twisty country roads you'd need a brave supra driver to make any distance on a Rallye, it carries and AWFUL lot more weight making changing direction much more of an issue than it is for the Pug. Another note, my old classic Scooby (270bhp and 1200kg) had Eibach lowering springs, uprated drop links and bumpsteer mods done, with proper alignment etc. My old 306 GTi-6 (heavier than the Rallye, same engine and chassis/suspension) could take corners within 5mph max of the scooby! Not saying at all that the pug will beat the Supra, just not to dismiss it that you'll pee all over it - you had better be a damn good driver and 100% committed to shake it off............ I'll see your double wishbone suspension, near 50/50 weight distribution, rwd, wider track and much wider tyres and raise you crap quality british roads, other road users being inconsiderate and getting more in the way of a posh looking rice rocket than a cute little pug, too many road users sitting too close to the car in front so a supra/gto sized car could never fit into the gap but a pug 106 could and the fact that 106 owners have youthfull ignorance of death and destruction on their side.
