Pig
is there a fmic out there that will allow me to keep my active spoiler? Want the best one possible really. possibly the Blitz LM. Was looking at the HKS type R but im pretty sure i loose the spoiler with that? If there is no chance what about leaving it down constantly? Scoboblio
I think you have to remove the active spoiler assembly and motors for most if not all FMICs, but you can remove the bottom bit (the actual spoiler), then bolt it back on permenantly in the down position. You'll need some sort of bracket to connect it back up though.
paul mac
no chance mate, you could get a narrow FMIC custom made but it would be kind of defeating the object of the exercise, there is NO alternative if you want a FMIC the spoiler has to go
Pig
Boo hoo, is it much of a job to keep it down?
paul mac
Boo hoo, is it much of a job to keep it down? you can remove all its motor and brackets and fabricate some new brackets and have it permanently down
Vagnum
I'm in the process of trying to fit my spoiler back in a the moment once it stops raining. I brought one of those fmic from ebay and also an alloy piping so i could fit the pipes where i wanted them to go. I left myself enough space, i hope, to get the spoiler back in and then make a bracket to extend from the motor to the spoiler arm. I'll try and get some pic's if i ever get it to work! Alex
Doesn't the Active Spoiler switch light blink if its stuck down? If you disconnect the ECU for the Active Spoiler it doesn't complain. It's in the cetre console behind the stereo.
Guru
Ah yes but I have the Apexi ECU so it's probably just normal blinking at me innit
