Paul -C-
For the past year I've had Valvoline VR1 Racing SAE 5w-50 in the car. I had to be ultra smooth with the accelerator on a cold start, or else the car would be extremely jerky. Anything other than 100% smooth would mean I'd be getting thrown forwards and backwards a bit. I always thought this was a bit shit so was looking forward to seeing if the oil Oilman recomended would be any better... I got the Silkolene Pro S 10w-50 put in last week and boy what a difference!! It now drives great, even from cold starts. Now I don't have to drive like a granny for the first few minutes! Obviously I'm still letting the car heat up first before putting the foot down, but I'm no longer being thrown around in the car Nice one Oilman! oilman
The Silkolene PRO is effectively a race oil suitable for the road and that's the main difference. It uses quality pao/ester basestocks which are the best that you can get today. Quality is exceptional and many members here use it and swear by it (even those running excess of 600bhp!) Glad you like it Cheers Simon
