Engine idle when turning wheel

Parksy

Recommended Posts

My N/A is pretty standard in that when I turn her over the revs are at about 2k and slowly drop over a minute or two until it idles at around 800revs.

However when giving the car a clean today I noticed that when I turn the steering wheel, the revs go up to about 1000/1100 then drop straight away as soon as I stop turning the wheel.

Isn't doing any harm I don't think? Just wondered if this was normal behaviour?
