denjil
Hi all, I own a 1998 VVTi Supra TT6 that I originally purchased from Harlow Jap Imports in the UK, and it’s now located in Malta. When the car was still in Japan, it was fitted with an HKS F-CON piggyback ECU. I’m currently looking for plug-and-play ECU options to replace the HKS unit with a fully programmable alternative. Unfortunately, no local tuners here in Malta are able to access or tune the HKS ECU. I’ve already tried the EMU Black with a so-called "plug-and-play" harness, but it didn’t function properly on my car. I’d really appreciate input from others who own late-model JDM Supras — especially those with experience running aftermarket ECUs. I’m aware that SRD offers plug-and-play harnesses for Syvecs and Link ECUs. Has anyone used these harnesses, and if so, what has your experience been like? My goal is to have the car properly mapped before upgrading to a single turbo. Given the car's condition, I’d prefer to retain as much of the original engine harness as possible, which is why I’m prioritizing plug-and-play solutions. I have searched the forums before posting. Thanks in advance for any help or advice! Daniel
