Tricky-Ricky Posted March 24, 2018 Share Posted March 24, 2018 Recommended oil grade for std engine is a 5w30 most BPU and higher mileage engines use a 10w40, personally I would only use a 5 or 10w50 on an extremely worn or very highly stressed motor IE pushing high BHP, running much higher viscosity oil just adds to the stress on the oil pump and pressure relief valve. jza800 Posted March 25, 2018 Author Share Posted March 25, 2018 Ok thanks for you reply, it make much sense to me.. i would not say i have a hign mileage engine.. just like to have a little higere oil pressure when hot.. but will go after a 5w40 oil, as i have driven on the lase 3 years.. got it recommended by oilmann (http://www.opieoils.co.uk) FUCHS TITAN 5W40 GT1 C3, so will put that on again Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
