CorruptSapphire
Been a little while since i have done anything with the Supra. Mainly due it being used as a daily. However she is now parked for the next ten days. Noticed that the rear driver side caliper has started to seize so booked into my mechanic next Saturday. Huge thankyou to Chris Wilson for being really helpful in sourcing the seal kit and piston. So in the meantime I have been abke to get the odo dash panel and drivers window control surround stripped and painted. Need to find some small white rub on stencil to put the writing back on Next up is to change over the worn three spoke steering wheel for the 4 spoke i have. Also does anyone know how to get the leather of the handbrake handle and the auto lever as that is looking worn as well
CorruptSapphire
Hey All Been a while since I made an update this thread. I have been working on the car when I have had spare time, to get it ready to a better standard in time for Japfest. So thought I would make an update. First one is the new UK spec headlights. Got them from Steve Manley, have to say that they make such a difference to how the front of the Supra looks. Definitely a good investment. I will take a few pics of them on the car later Also replaced the side repeaters. The ones that that were on the car when I got her were just horrid! Please excuse the dirtiness of the car Replaced them with clear ones from Keron. I have also done a very quick refurb of the brake calipers, flatted off the paint that was on there and repainted with Anthracite and applied the Supra decals, I don't have any great pictures uploaded yet but will post them up shortly. Next on the list is the NKE Performance slam panel (currently on back order). Struggling to find a rear number plate frame for a 13" x 7" number plate. Has anyone got any places that I can get one? Hopefully will update this thread more in the next week or so Thanks for looking Dom
Kendo11
Indicators look loads better. If you search in eBay for numberplate surround (and make sure your search settings are set to worldwide) you'll get loads of results. Might need to play around with the search terms after having a quick look, but there's a ton on eBay USA. I have a Titan Motorsports one and it fits my rear import plate nicely.
CorruptSapphire
So it has been a while since I have posted in this thread, such is life. Since the last update I have done some maintenance that needed doing, the front caliper pistons started to seize, so had the reconditioned. So now the Supra is SORN for the next 10 months I can really get down to giving her some attention. The plan is to refresh as much as possible and do some of the jobs that I have been wanting to do. So my first job is to tackle the interior. The plastics are starting to look a little tired, so... its all coming out So with the plastics I am going to try to make them look brand new by subtlety changing the black to a satin finish, so I started with the vents on the dash as its out. I think that they look great the way that they have come out. Also gives me confidence that I am going in the right direction. After plastics it is going to be dying the carpet and headliner black Thanks for reading Dom
