Dom2320
Hi I know there is alot on this but I have tried the fixes even set it back to factory setting and its still not working. After researching on numerous sites and here I am still having issues fixing this fault, i'm a mechanic but this electrical fault is beating me. I had the OD flashing since i bought the car however didn't affect manual mode just was in a constant overdrive otherwise. When i removed the gauge cluster for the first time I noticed after re attaching everything my speedometer stopped working, rev counter and fuel/ oil temp all working correctly. After looking at the speedo converter it was a mess of wiring. After rewiring it correctly I still had the problem, (the fault 42 bypass fix was also done but that fault remained). i then removed the speedo converter and put it back to factory set up. The connector to the speedo and odometer are all getting power and working. My ECU has a HKS delimeter fitted looks wired up correctly but the pink wire into the ECU has been cut and then reconnected using bullet connectors (it then goes back into the loom). I have a new speedo converter ready to fit (I tried finding a thor racing but cant seem to find one?) ame i right to assume maybe by fitting the new converter the fault might rectify itself because of the first one being wired incorrectly and now must have a converter fitted to work? If there is anyone who has had this issue in the North West and might be able to have a look would be appreciated. Obviously any suggestions are also on here that might help would also be great. Like i said i know fault 42 is a common problem with lots of answers but it isnt as simple of a fix in this case. Cheers
