dangerous brain
This is really starting to bug me now XP Pro with sp1 installed Wireless network netgear dg834Gv2 router Asus 802.11b/g adaptor Everytime I try to open streaming media it loses the connection. If I try to use a lot of bandwidth ie when downloading stuff it drops the connection. Randomly for no reason it drops the connection. It won't automatically re-connect you have to manually disable and re-enable the network connection. Everytime after prolonged non use the internet ceases working like its locked down but the network connection is still on excellent. It won't then let you disable the network connection. It won't let you repair the connection (come up with unable to get an IP address fault) only way to restart the internet connection is to reboot the PC. Occasionally it does this as well for no apparent reason. Anybody got any ideas as to why its doing this? I can't even find the router software program that I installed when I set this up. dangerous brain
pipex but its a network related fault (at least the part where it keeps losing the network connection and then requiring the network be disabled and then re-enabled). I had a software disc that went in when I installed the kit to sort out putting the ISP details login and all that jazz. Now I can't find a related prgram anywhere. EDIT missed a G out of the netgear router name lol.

dangerous brain
Not counting the side road that has a rather cheap accident repair place that knows the back half of supra's very well by all accounts its the fourth right, one road through, one cul de sac next to the flats another through road and then mine is the one that you don't really see til you go past it. dangerous brain
Cheers mate. I'm just trying to find sp2 somewhere. For some reason my XP won't validate for auto updates
dangerous brain
AHA I think a firmware upgrade has fixed the problem. Its managed to hold an sp2 download at 250kbps for 15 minutes now instead of tripping out after 30 seconds.
