Making sure import is running okay

Hi guys,

 

Get my import back shortly. It's had a quick service with all oils/fluids etc. I was wondering what can I do to make sure the car is running ok and not lean or anything? I'm aware it's overboosting in gear 3 up to 1.5 bar but I believe that's due to no restrictor ring. In the mean time is there anything else I can check/change? I want to take it down to the petrol garage to fill it up!

 

(also is it worth me buying an AFM Gauge for the car to monitor?)

I`d check that the crank pulley was OK and not delaminated if it were mine;) Paint a thin white line across the pulley where the rubber part is and run the engine for a while, if the line is still solid after switching the engine off you`re OK. If you`re going to fill her up, use only 98 octane, as it`s an import.

Yep I shall be using Shell V-power only!

 

Sorry if I sound stupid but which part is the crack pulley, haven't had much time to look at my engine bay...Just want to make sure I've got the exact correct thing?

Close, but no cigar I`m afraid. Follow the fan belt around to the lowest pulley on the front of the engine, that`s the crank pulley. I`d check your brake fluid as well, looks a little low in the picture:)

Haha...Good thing I checked then! Brake fluids been changed already this was an older pre import photo!
