Robert Posted September 4, 2005 Share Posted September 4, 2005 ok well my O/D light has been flashing and i checked for codes and its a code 38 which means 'open or short in fluid temperature sensor', where is the sensor located and how easy is it to replace? Jake Posted September 5, 2005 Share Posted September 5, 2005 There's a few sensors in the gearbox. They can all be seen from under the car and are on the side of the box, between the box and the transmission tunnel. IIRC there are four seperate electrical connectors, all but one are on the passenger side. I would start by checking the integrity of each connection. They do get covered in a lot of grime. 10mins with some WD40 might save replacing a sensor. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
