kubus1 Posted March 11, 2003 Share Posted March 11, 2003 Is there any way to stop the radio aerial extending every time I switch the radio on?? I took my car thru the car wash last week ( i know, i won't do it again) and I was stupid enough to listen to the radio. So, it got broken. I managed to fit the aerial into the slot but it sticks out a bit. If I can stop it from extending when I switch the radio on I could still listen to the radio when I get the stronger signal. I ordered the new one but I have to go to Poland tomorrow and I dont really fancy 1000 miles without a radio. Any help?? thanks Cuba Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Radio WITHOUT the power AMP. "antenna_control.jpg" (Attached to this posting) Radio WITH the power AMP. "antenna_control1.jpg" (Attached to next posting) No idea if it works, just thought it up. Matt Harwood Posted March 12, 2003 Share Posted March 12, 2003 I'm fairly sure that you'd need to wire it via a relay so that the wire goes to ground when switched off. Otherwise, if you switch it off with the radio on, the aerial will stay up. Sorry, I don't have the facility to draw a diagram at the moment.. Pete?
