CJ
I am experiencing problems getting the heater in the car to work above tepid. I have tried it with AC on and off to no avail. This has just manifested itself after a hose came off that fed the water to the cooling sytem around the turbo. The temp gauge has also moved to a higher position thatn normal (halfway actually) but after 30 minutes of driving, has remained in position. I checked the water level in the rad and it needed topping up due to the above but wondered if it now may have an air block and, if so, how I would clear it? I sopke to another memebr who said I should take off the rad cap and run the engine which I did for 5 minutes - is that long enough? Any other advice greatly appreciated. Steve
Have you tried running the engine with the rad cap off, the heater and fan on full for about ten minutes (until water is warm) You could also try squeezing the two pipes at the back of the engine to get air out. You may need to top up the water during this aswell.
CJ
Just run it for 5 minutes and the air flowing is getting hotter - but not as hot as it should be. I will try it that way now -

CJ
Well, that worked a treat - hot air now emitting (and not from my mouth as is the normal practice)
