How come the Supra bears the "Supra" scipt on the back?

 

What I mean is, Why is it in Western lettering and not in Japanese?

 

Shouldn't it say..........

and it's not just the Supra, the Skyline (which was just JDM) is another case in point.

But you could ask why all the writing inside the car (controls, etc) is in English.

 

Or why there's that one button next to the auto gearlever that's in Japanese.
