Mountain Bike buying help...

Good morning all,

I've got a cycle to work scheme that i'm thinking of joining but i'm unsure on what bike to go for.

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts/reviews on the below?

Giant Talon 29er 0 2012

Scott Scale 29 Team 2012

Felt Nine Comp 29 er 2012

Specialized Carve Comp 29 2012

Cannondale Trail SL 29 er 2 2012

Whistle Miwok 1160D 2012

Lapierre Pro Race 229 2012

I've decided on the 29" wheels as i think they should be good for some gentle off-road stuff along with some normal road action. At the moment i think i like the Specialized one - but not too sure on the others..

Although as i've not been on a bike for 2/3 years i don't actually have a clue what to look for anymore - and i don't know much about the components they all use.

Any adive/reviews greatly appreiciated.

Thanks

Craig.

I have a specialized and would recommend them, although I've never tried a 29er.

I would advise you to get a few demo bikes though and actually try them since they all feel different, you cannot always trust the reviews to get a bike that suits you, plus its good fun to try a couple.
