Ok my painter/sprayer needs help with something and I'd love to give him an answer as he's always sorted me out with my car and will be doing a big job at the end of the month. Has has a 2000 Impreza non turbo. He has to take the engine out aswsell as looms to paint somewhere. Now he's put it all back together he has an issue with the immobiliser. Its one of these keys with a built in chip. All dash lights come on but then after 30 seconds it all cuts off. He's plugged it into diagnostics and he's getting Code 53, which he tells me is immobiliser. Any help or advice would be fantastic.
