JohnA
Don't know if there are others here subscribed to 'turbo and high tech', but this article is available for free on their site. Isn't it weird that these curves are so close? http://www.max-boost.co.uk/stuff/single_vs_twin_comparo_turbomag.gif Both cars are of remarkably similar spec, so they are reasonably comparable
SimonB
I guess that's what you'd expect, two smaller parallel twins vs a bigger single should show the same boost curves. Interesting though.
Alex
GReddy T88 vs GT2835R's.... Hmmm...not sure this is a fair test. AFAIK the GT2835's are rated at 300-350 each. The T88 can be rated to over 1000Hp...depending on trim. There is a lack of data to make a true comparision. But I believe the big single was significantly bigger than the two turbo's and therefore it's not a good comparison. The T78 would have been better...but then so would a BL67/71. The Restorer
Thats two parrallel twins, not sequential...
JohnA
well yes, the sequential curves are quite different. Still, the 'two smaller turbos have less lag' theory doesn't seem to hold here.
Guest Terry S
Proves what lag monsters they are though
