Changing the 2nd o2 sensor on a UK car

I'm just after a bit of advice realy, I'm changing both my o2 sensors for new, and looking at the book, changing the rear most one looks a bit complicated, I'm sure I have heard that cutting and inline splicing is the way to go.

Is this true or should I follow the book and go through taking the seat out?

Thanks in anticipation.

When I changed mine, I removed the passenger seat and pulled back the carpet. It didn't take long at all. The hardest part may be removing the old O2 sensor from the exhaust - depending on when it was last changed/removed. Apart from that, it's quite an easy job. :)

Cheers Steve, I'll have a go tomorrow, I know the front is a bit of a pain but there is little I can do about that, I have had both sensors off in the past 6 months for one reason or another so I know I can get them off.

Thanks.
