The girlfiriend has just been told by one the national chain rippoffs, (no names!) that it is now 1.6mm accross the whole width of the tyre. Does any one know if this has changed ? cheers Neil. Steve W Posted December 20, 2002 Share Posted December 20, 2002 NO.... as far as I know (talked to OUR testers ~ 4 days ago !) it's STILL only 'visible tread' on edges ! ie. still pretty bloody lenient in my opinion - BUT, can be that low. POSSIBLE case of trying-to-sell-products-by-LYING ? (or, perhaps the tyre 'specialist' really doesn't know about tyre law ? ? ) FatS. ps.
