Jaguar S Type 3L V6 - P1380 diagnostic code

Hi folks, wondering if any of you could help?

 

I have a Jag S Type 3L V6, 2001 on a Y.

 

Only had it a couple of days and the MIL has come on, and gives a code of 1380 which relates to the VVT solenoid valve.

 

Having done some googling and looking on the Jag club, it seems to be more of a wiring issues than a actual part fault.

 

Has anyone come across this before and could shed some light on the issue before I spend plenty of time taking the awful intake off.
