Suspension Damper or Shocker

I Have already brought new shockers thinking the the knocking from the rear was related, but I have just had it checked out by a local car-tech.

The Knocking only occurs around 20/40mph and is deffantly along the line of the rear suspention area (not the boot) after this bloke has taken a look at it he believes it to be comming from The Shocker Damper that sits between the shocker and the mount on the car.

Do you think this is the case as its a dealer part only and their £90 each!! Or is it the shocker thats worn and torn as orginally thought.

Poss. top mount as well.

BTW you can replace the bushings at the rear alone. R2 Racing polyeurathane bushing kit is available, i think i saw them on Thors site??

However if it`s a worn balljoint then it`s a new arm......... unfortunately

I didn't know they did a rear kit, but I see MVP are selling the full kit.

How big a job would it be to replace all the bushes?

Paul,

I got my rears done...... NOT the sort of job you`ll do in an afternon alone.

Mechanic had to get the arms off first (not easy) then get a heavy duty press to remove and insert the new bushings

Yes MVP now do those....
