Prof. Monkey
Hi does anyone know how to get the rear number plate surrounds off the supra, there is a large screw at the top that can easily be removed, but the whole thing will not come off. Anyone know how it can be done?
Elliot
I had these on mine. There is a screw at the top of each one, and then it was a case of pulling them off slowly. One of mine had been double-sided sticky-taped, and the other had some sort of gripfill! I used the nozzle on a WD40 can to squirt some in there. Not sure if it helped or not, but I got them off eventually with no damage, by pulling it then wedging my hand in to get better leverage nearer the sticky tape. Then spent a long time scratching off the excess with my finger nails! Not that it mattered, as you can get a plate made up to cover any damage anyway, but at least you know it's nice underneath! Prof. Monkey
Cheers for that, I actually want them off to spray, same colour as the car. Which way did you pull them off? Thanks
Elliot
I pulled them from the outside inwards. Just be careful you don't break the tabs at the top which accomodate the screws!
