trinitom
today managed to get my gauges working, oil pre, oil temp and afr. just want to confirm with you guys if they are reading well. oil pre (psi) 24 at idle 130 peak oil temp 80~90C afr is the strange one 14.7~15.1 at idle and 12~13 at full throttle but when I lift the pedal it goes very lean (out of scale). I’m running at 1bar at the moment. is this normal? thanks
Tricky-Ricky
All sounds pretty much normal except for AFR at full throttle, it should be anything from 10-11.5 so yours is rather lean, i would look into that. AFR will go lean on closed throttle because the injectors are shut under no throttle.
kaahari
With my jspec stock ecu, afr ~12-13:1 to 4000rpm, then ~10,5:1 1.1bar

trinitom
well I’m not 100% sure about those 12/13 afr's, it's a bit difficult to drive and pay attention to it, i have seen 10/11's too, but not sure the exact time. i have to record with my camera to get a real picture. the oil pres and temp are from Prosport Stepper Series, afr from PLX device. Thanks for the help people
Tricky-Ricky
Is there no data logging with the PLX AFR? the time you need it to be 10-11 AFR is anytime you're hitting full boost, and especially at full boost/full throttle.

Tricky-Ricky
From a quick look at the site, it seems there is a USB adaptor, so presumably it will interface with a laptop providing they also supply the software.
trinitom
no, this one doesn't have a usb port, i think the ms-100 unit does. thanks anyway, my GF will help me recording with the camera to get a real picture.

Tricky-Ricky
Good to hear! you can stop worrying, always difficult to keep an eye on the AFR gauge when you have your foot to the floor and things are starting to look warp;)
