Audio connection(s) help required

Afternoon folks. Needing a wee bit of assistance for is quite simple hopefully.

To cut a long story short i'm setting up an Xbox 360 for someone so that they can run it through their PC monitor instead of a standard telly. I've got all the neccesary video connections and it's running fine, obviously there is no sound coming through this though which was part of the idea as they wanted it to run via headphones when playing.

I managed to get a special connector for this which basically gives the monitor input plus a white and red audio output connector. I've bought a bridge for these which then turns it into one headphone jack (the idea obviously being this would connect into a speaker system, etc as opposed to headphones).

So i have one standard small headphone jack coming from the red/white audio output and also another identical headphone jack coming from the headphones they intend to use.

What i'm stuck on is the terminology or specification for the little bridge / connector i need to join them together? Sorry if that is a bit vague i will try and get pictures.
