He "proved" his theory worked by implanting a bull mid-bullfight, then going out and facing the charging bull. When he pressed his remote, the bull stopped in its tracks. I think that's a legitimate criticism of that particular demonstration, but you have to put it into context with the rest of Delgado's work - a huge body. Freeman, the 'lobotomy guy' was eventually struck off - after another patient death, I think. But he was pretty old by then and lobotomies had largely been superceded by drug interventions.
