Guest spinthepilot
Hi all, not sure where to post this, however - anyone know where I can get a blank key ( with the black hard plastic Toyota logo top ) that I can get cut for my 2001 import Supra. Of course the UK dealers say they can't help.... Thanks! Edited May 18, 2009 by spinthepilot (see edit history)

Digsy
Your dealer is talking rubbish. I've had a key cut for my import at my local main dealer. Try finding a more helpful dealer.

little num
should have brought a UK car then they would have been more then happy to help.
legendswraith
If the keys are the same as lexus/aristo keys i have a couple of flip keys left and i can cut them. However that won't help unless you have a spare already.
Guest spinthepilot
Well I would have bought a UK car IF they hadn't stopped them! - mine is 2001, several years after they chopped UK versions. Ordered one from the US site edge quoted me - dirt cheap and free delivery, exellent!! Oh, and the dealer has got back to me as well! legendswraith
If all you need is a replacement without the coding then don't go to the dealer, any mr minit, shoe repairer etc with a tibbe/laser key cutter will be able to cut them and for about a 5th of the dealer price
Guest spinthepilot
Yep, thats' the plan - but I need the blank first, and ( of course ) I want one with the black toyota moulding on the top! Looks like I've got it on the way now, and will cut it at the local guy. So, thanks for your replies, as usual - we win!
