MBC on Ebay

Saw this on Ebay;

Surely the boost controller is plumbed into the wrong place in this pic. All this would do is prevent the pressurised air from being recirced throught the VSV, thus increasing pressure on the wastegate actuator, (possibly causing the wastegate to open earlier than it would and have no effect on max boost?)

I thought all boost controllers on the MKIV were plumbed into the line between the turbo & actuator and the bottom line off the actuator blanked off.

Any comment from anyone who knows more than I ??

Yeah, but I thought it should be plumbed into the Turbo side of the acuator, not the VSV side, to have any effect. i.e to prevent pressurised air acting on the actuator until it reaches the preset pressure to overcome the spring mechanism.

I can't see how fitting this device in the location it is shown will have any (positive) effect on raising the boost.

I'm sure that the electronic boost controllers are fitted between the Turbo & actuator and the lower pipe to the VSV blanked off as it's no longer required. Surely it should be the same for EBCs and MBCs.

A 3-way bleed valve (or T-piece) which reduces pressure on the actuator would work either between turbo and actuator or actuator and VSV, as some of the pressure which would be acting on the actuator is allowed to bleed away.

it's getting late, maybe I'm talking boll**ks
