JohnK Posted April 1, 2005 Share Posted April 1, 2005 Im running v1.39 firmware in the emanage, and v1.11 support tool software. Im told that if I enter the parameter settings with 1.11 the e-manage will crash and need the firmware re-writing. I have got the updates to 1.13 from 2 seperate sources, but after I install them the s/w will not commincate with the emanage. It just opens the comunication box and sits there. Matt H used 1.13 on his laptop to talk to it. Ive tried 2 seperate laptops and winxp and ME. Any ideas why I cant run v1.13. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AeroMatt Posted April 1, 2005 Share Posted April 1, 2005 I'm having exactly the same problem, however I'm not sure what benefits 1.13 gives over 1.11 so I'm leaving mine as is for now. You may be able to find an answer at; http://www.emanageusers.com/ its a very useful forum for emanage information. SimonB Posted April 1, 2005 Share Posted April 1, 2005 I've just tried V1.13, works fine for me with 1.39 firmware. I was using V1.11 with the same firmware - I don't think you'll have any problems with that. JohnK Posted April 2, 2005 Author Share Posted April 2, 2005 One laptop has a built in serial port the other a PC card serial adaptor. Both talk happily on version 1.11. JohnK Posted May 7, 2005 Author Share Posted May 7, 2005 I have found a solution, it works under win2K. 1.13 wont work under ME and for some unknown reason (perhaps the xp partition being old and full of crap) it wouldnt run under XP either. Fresh install of win2K and 1.11 and more importantly 1.13 works, both with a firmware of 1.39. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
