Animal Posted February 11, 2009 Share Posted February 11, 2009 Anvil - The Movie Possibly the greatest film about rock’n’roll yet made, Gervasi’s documentary follows the fortunes of the Canadian heavy metal band Anvil. Rising stars in the 1980s, the band now play pubs while their contemporaries make platinum albums. Warm, affectionate and unbelievably funny. Looks like it could be worth a look. Like a real-life Spinal Tap, except with a band tha\t actually made some decent albums. Anvil: The Story of Anvil isn't about metal; it's about hope. It's not about rock; it's about belief.
