Spurious Wiring Question

I had the door cards off yesterday to fix the passenger side window and the drivers side central locking (Both easy fixes).

 

On the drivers' side, in the same bit of loom as the central locking connector block, there were 2 black wires corroded to buggery that look like they should be attached to a microswitch on the outer door skin. Now, my central locking works fine and we didn't fancy stripping the door down any further, so we just left 'em.

 

Any ideas what they are? I'm wondering if it is part of an old alarm system or something.

Cool, cheers. All the locks worked, and my alarm works, so I figured we could ignore it.

Matt ....is that the microswitch that pushes onto the back of the door lock barrel?

If so is it cool just to disconnect it on the white multiway half way down the door..

Having a real job getting a replacement and It seems to be stopping the central locking from working in it's current state
