dani_r
I put my key into the door the other day and noticed that the mechanism was a bit stiff, i tried the other side and it's the same. What can I use to lubricate the mechanism? Just WD40 or some kind of grease? Also, is it possible to install remote central locking on my car? As is doesn't seem to have it already (or I wasn't given a key fob when I boght the car). If so, how much does this cost? Cheers D
Missile
I have the exact same problem, Only realised about a week ago. Not sure if the cold weather has anything to do with it. Think fitting an alarm with cenral locking remote is the best bet.
Ben-san
Don't WD40 or grease your locks. You need graphite powder from your local locksmith.
Ben-san
Found some on good ol' eBay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Graphite-Powder-Lock-Lubricant-Padlock-Cylinder-Car_W0QQitemZ150272132442QQ

dani_r
Nice one I've never heard of that either! Very handy to know! Does any one know about the central locking? Whether it's possible to have it installed? Or if it is already installed and I don't have the fob!
