bens747
So I just phoned EDF to come off the Gas Meter and on to Direct Debit. So I say to the guy. "Ain't they f*ckin expensive these meters and excuse the language" He said " Well, the price will still be the same except from direct debit and not a gas card" Well course they would say that coz they don't want peeps to know that they are ripping u off with the meters. What do guys think about meters and the cost of them?

bolarbag
As a previous employee of BG, Scottish Power, and Hydro, I know for a fact the meters are far more expensive You didnt get the discounts that they were offering to their DD customers either Key meters are worse
Scott
Pre-paid meters are a complete con. Get onto direct debit as soon as you can. My Mother in law has a pre-pay meter and she pays, on average, twice as much as we do. My computer is on 24/7 and my bill is around 40 per month. As far as i know she is putting that in every fortnight. Hers is the Key meter, as above.

snake
:swear:if you go on direct debit, make sure they don't use your money as a savings scheme. its funny that you will always be in credit [they will make sure of that].They will put up your payments at the slightest hint you might owe them money .They increased my g/f Payments when she was significantly in credit .She got them to lower the payments as before under threat of changing suppliers.
