now with all these threads. a question was raised, 'do F1 cars warm up?'

 

well attached is your answer.

 

that idling rev is around the 4-6k mark

 

i dont suggest you warm your car till your exhaust looks like theirs

Cool vid. They're just showing off for some sponsors by the look of it though! They use an external heater that pre-warms the oil for F1 cars, similar to the way they pre-warm the tyres with the blankets. That's why you don't see them firing up and warming them up before taking to the track.
