Road Tax on an Insurance Cover note for the Supra, can it be done?

hi everyone,

 

need some urgent advice regarding road tax, so any help appreciated.

 

is it legal to get road tax on an insurance cover note. i have tried in the past but the post office said i could not do that. The lady at Sky said i should be able to do that with no problems.

 

i have been waiting a few days for the actual certificate of insurance from Sky, and it is only just being sent today. so it wont be here until wednesday or thursday, but mail arrives around 1PM which is another day wasted.

I always thought you could, its a legal document until you normally provide proof of no claims bonus etc. Its provided so you can use it as proof of insurance until its expiry date, usually a month

i did not think their would be problem either, just wish the post office could all work off the same page with everyone else.
