heartworm
I keep getting this popping up, ive run AVG with the most current updates and adaware too with all updates and there not finding anything, http://content.altnation.com/gallery/files/2/7/4/4/windowssecurityalert.jpg clicking enable protection takes me too http://www.defender2009.com/buy.php?a=111 which asks for money, surprisingly. Is this a scam? how do I get rid of it, how do I stop it coming up!

adnanshah247
its 100% spyware. easiest soultion re-format the machine. otherwise you can buy expensive software like norton or kaspersky which should detect and delete it.

SimonG
Had something similar the other day....look carefully at the spelling on the warning.....tour computer !!!....Windows wouldn`t get that wrong. I did not download, then googled it and found it to be malicious. If in any doubt, do not download.

I dont really want to format, its an awful lot of hassle onthis machine with everything thats on it, but I do hate Norton. Dissapoiting that neither adaware nor AVG picked up on it though. Ran another set of scans and it removed a few bits and pieces, not had the message since. It seems to happen when im on itv-f1 most.

DamanC
Your avg is the free version right? If it is, what do you expect? The premium version has malware/spyware/underware detection built in, but even then you are only ever going to be 95% secure.
