It plays downloaded TV/movies straight from my PC over ethernet and even plays iPlayer content. Is the PS3 better for this kind of work? (How?) I setup someones 360 a few months back and i find my PS3 much better than it. Yours may be setup differently but he could only play certain filetypes. I think XviD and DivX were a no-no. The PS3 can be setup to play everything and it streams full 1080p HD flawlessly through my wireless connection. I don't think the 360 is capable of doing this. Granted i have to use TVersity but its not caused hassles at all. At first i was going to build a new PC mediacenter, or buy one of the stand alone ones, but i ended up going with the PS3 as it was a bluray player, games machine and Sony would, no doubt, update it to stream the latest things as and when necessary.
