Max Headroom
It seems our prudent PM, Gordon Brown has pulled a crafty stunt with the Icelandic Banks, who put British savers at the bottom of the pile when their bank system went into meltdown. To hold the Icelandic banks to ransom till they give british savers!! (read Councils and UK banks) their money he is freezing Icelandic assets in the UK using ANTI TERRORIST LAWS - WTF!! /discuss

I doubt if the Icelanders thought that they had anything to fear from legislation which was, allegedly, introduced to combat terrorism.

All in the name of protecting us from terrorists. We never had this when the IRA was at the height of their bombing campaign in the 1980s!!
