It seems our prudent PM, Gordon Brown has pulled a crafty stunt with the Icelandic Banks, who put British savers at the bottom of the pile when their bank system went into meltdown.

To hold the Icelandic banks to ransom till they give british savers!! (read Councils and UK banks) their money he is freezing Icelandic assets in the UK using ANTI TERRORIST LAWS - WTF!!

Remember this when people tell you, in relation to "anti-terrorist" measures such as Id Cards and 42 day detention, that "if you have done nothing wrong you have nothing to fear". I doubt if the Icelanders thought that they had anything to fear from legislation which was, allegedly, introduced to combat terrorism.

case of here`s a loan, repay it whenever you like!

It looks more like a short term £100m loan secured against their already frozen assets held over here to me.

Exactly, what will he use them for next? All in the name of protecting us from terrorists.

We never had this when the IRA was at the height of their bombing campaign in the 1980s!!
