cadman 26
Ok, here goes! When doing some sedate driving i have no lights on at all and all is well with the world. When i find a nice empty bit of road and give it the berries, the oil level light comes on. This light then disappears after 5 minutes of sedate driving. I have checked the oil level when the engine is cold and the dipstick reads very slightly over full. So dropped into my local garage this afternoon and asked them to drain about a quarter of a litre out. Now the oil level light is permanently on!! I'm now waiting a few hours for the car to completely cool down to remeasure the level! So, question 1 Does the oil level light come on when there is too much oil in the sump?? Question 2 Anyone had something similar or offer an explanation as to whats happening ??
