cheekymonkey
Insured my bike yesterday, trying to buy tax online today but it's still coming up as not insured (also uninsured on askmid.com). Anyone know the details of how often data gets pushed to the dvla?

Mike
Yep - every day. Is it a muti-bike policy by any chance? we get problems with those sometimes.
tonyhawk
I have my Lex added to my policy as a second car; it was done two weeks ago and still doesn't show! I got pulled yesterday!
Soop Dogg
Legally, insurers have to get policies (or changes/updates etc) onto the MID within 7 days. (It used to be 14 days until January this year.) Most insurers perform updates to MID within 24 hours, but as someone already said, if you're with a broker, there may be a delay before the insurer gets the data. Give your insurance company a bell - MID doesn't lend itself to multi-anything policies quite as well as it should... hence only the first vehicle gets picked up. cheekymonkey
D'oh, I just tried again after another 24 hours and it's still not there. It's not a multi-bike policy, just a new one with Bennets. I should get the policy doc's tomorrow anyway (hopefully) so can go tot he post office assuming I can actually find one that does VED!
