That's one heck of a display case Ewen. :)

What happened to the one Jane got for your birthday? There should be room for it on top. ;)

Thats at work Ken, pride of place on the windowsill, just along from the Supras, the Camel hanging from the ceiling as if its coming out of the sun. Running out of room fast, but I have a little spot reserved for Bluenose II.

The reason I ask is that I've got an unfinished Billing Bluenose II here that my Dad never got round to finishing before he passed away. It'd be nice for it to go to a worthy home.

S'funny that, my dad was into building model boats, inc all the RC gear, I kept his Whitby lifeboat after he died, it sits on the shelf behind me here, about 1metre bow to stern, it has motors in and little nav lights. He made loads of highly detailed, scratch built models, most of which my mum sold.

Unfortunately I can't run the lifeboat as, and this shows the nature of some folk, after he died, another member of his model boat club told my mum all the RC gear was worthless and he paid her £20 for all the radio gear, actuators, batterys and at least 5 RC hand units (whatever thery're called, the things with the aerials and knobs)

Thats a real shame. Disgusting behavior, seen it many times myself. Sometimes from the most unexpected source too.

:) Its about the length of our lounge and is about the height of both floors....my wife may not have taken it too well had I 'impulsed' that one.

I didn't think such things existed on that scale. You never know what this Xmas will bring though if you drop the right hints:D

I quote...

A 74-gun man o'war, LE SUPERBE was built from the design of one of the most famous naval engineers: Jacques Noël SANE. For 30 years, SANE designed French naval warships. Begun in the shipbuilding yard of Brest in 1782, and launched in 1784, LE SUPERBE formed part of the fleet of Admiral Villaret de Joyeuse.

ahh no doubt we sunk it :)
